Terms of Service

1. Services Provided

Bee #1 Junk Removal Ltd. provides full-service non-hazardous solid waste collection, hauling, sorting, recycling, and disposal services for residential, commercial, and construction clients in Metro Vancouver and surrounding regions.

2. Estimates & Upfront Pricing

• Rough Estimates: Online, phone, or text estimates (including photo estimates) are non-binding rough assessments based on customer-provided information.
• Final On-Site Quote: A final, binding quote is provided in person by our crew prior to loading. Work begins only upon your verbal or written approval.
• Volume Rates: Standard hauling rates are calculated based on the space your items occupy in our commercial truck.

3. Surcharges & Metro Vancouver Compliance

We strictly comply with regional recycling and transfer station regulations set by Metro Vancouver. Certain regulated items incur mandatory additional disposal surcharges, including but not limited to:

• Mattresses and box springs ($40/unit)
• Tires (passenger cars and heavy equipment)
• Full paint cans and liquid waste
• Tested drywall (inside and outside date compliance)
• Heavy dense materials (soil, concrete, brick, dirt) charged by weight/density

Any applicable surcharges will be clearly disclosed in your final quote before loading begins.

4. Prohibited & Hazardous Materials

For safety and regulatory compliance, Bee #1 Junk Removal Ltd. CANNOT haul or accept hazardous or illegal materials, including:

• Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials (unless certified & tested per Metro Vancouver policy)
• Chemicals, biohazards, medical waste, or explosive items
• Propane tanks, gasoline, oil drums, or volatile fuels
• Radioactive or toxic industrial waste

The customer agrees to indemnify Bee #1 Junk Removal Ltd. against any fines, cleanup costs, or legal liability resulting from undisclosed or concealed hazardous materials placed in our care.

5. Property Access & Authorization

• Ownership & Authority: You affirm that you are the lawful owner of the items being removed or have explicit legal authorization from the property owner to dispose of them.
• Access: You agree to provide clear and safe access to the items. Pathways, stairwells, and driveways should be reasonably free from hazards.
• Unattended Pickups: If you authorize an unattended pickup (driveway or exterior removal), items must be clearly accessible. Final charges will be communicated via text or call.

6. Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion of service. We accept major Credit Cards, Debit, Interac e-Transfer, and Cash. Unpaid accounts beyond 30 days are subject to interest charges of 2% per month (24% per annum) plus collection costs.

7. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 2 hours' notice while crew is en route may be subject to a $50 dispatch fee.

8. Property Damage & Limitation of Liability

Our uniformed crews operate with the utmost care. However, Bee #1 Junk Removal Ltd. is not responsible for minor cosmetic scuffs or scratch marks inherent to maneuvering bulky items through tight hallways, doorways, or stairwells requested by the customer.

In all instances, our liability for property damage or service performance is limited strictly to the total dollar value paid for the specific job.

9. SMS Text Messaging & Communications Consent

By submitting a contact form or requesting a quote, you consent to receive transactional and operational text messages (SMS) and phone calls from Bee #1 Junk Removal Ltd. at the mobile number provided.

• Messages relate to job estimates, appointment reminders, status updates, and customer support.
• Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
